Ferret Technology and Eden Bros have completed live trials on a number of domestic and commercial water service lines in the United States. Easy access to the service line was generally found in basements and crawl spaces, common features in a large number of US house designs. This meant the Ferret could be connected quickly without the need for an excavation and sent back along the service line towards the meter set to locate the leak. Several leaks have been located accurately below floor slabs and in back yards, resulting in small excavations, a swift repair and delighted property owners.
